About Us
I worked for ten years in the construction industry, primarily as a steel erector – on a vast range of projects. In 2004 I studied for my NEBOSH certificate in health and safety and after successfully achieving this, I accepted my first post as a health and safety advisor.
Two years of finding my feet in the health and safety world gave me enough experience to move into a managerial role. This was based on health and safety in a facilities management environment. I was also able to set up my own consultancy with just a few clients who had requested the advice of an advisor with a construction background.I returned to a role of health and safety manager in the field of construction from 2008 to 2010 and gained valuable experience in being responsible for health and safety at a group level. However over the last few years of JR Safety’s existence I have built up a clientele to the point that I decided to focus on the consultancy and expand the business.
I believe I can offer a professional and comprehensive service to my clients. The specific advantage being that I can advise on the law and regulations due to my knowledge in health and safety, at the same time I am able to suggest alternative ways of working and practical advice based on my construction experience.
In addition to the other services, I am accredited by the Institute of safety and Health to run various training courses, at a location to suit the client and competitively priced. Please contact me about any of your training needs for further information.
We are currently engaged in carrying out compliance site inspections, providing a full range of Health, Safety and Environmental documentation, and assisting our wide range of clients in the implementation of their Safe System of Work.
